Destroyed wagon - "Missed duel/The Duellists"

To support the Retreat from Moscow scenario we are running my friend Bruce Meyer built a lot of extras - snow covered dead, broken down carts, extra bits and detritus - to make the scene look the way all the paintings show the end of the 1812 campaign. I have always liked the movie "The Duellists" and find the Russian scenes very awesome looking - just watching the movie makes me feel cold! My contribution to the game will be the broken down cart from the "Missed Duel" scene in the movie.

Back in the saddle after a break in the action

Wow, I took a look at this site and noted that I had not posted anything since March! The reason was I was a single dad taking care of three small children, full time working, soccer practices, games and tournaments, flag football, cheerleading, gymnastics, some wargaming, laundry (yuck!) and the usual stuff involved with managing a family. We all survived and, best of all, my wife/mom came home yesterday and we are starting to get back to normal. I am looking forward to doing more writing and posting.

Of course, things may slow next month when the Army posts us to Colorado Springs...
